LASH CARE
Eyelash health and care is incredibly important when getting eyelash extensions. Poor lash care can result in damaged lashes, strained growth, infections, build up causing retention issues - therefore higher pricing and extended fill timing.
WHAT IS THE BEFORE CARE OF HAVING EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
DO
-
Before your appointment please make sure your lashes are squeaky clean with no traces of built up makeup
-
Have a think about what overall look you are wanting to achieve. e.g.; do you prefer thickness or length?
-
Please turn mobile onto slient mode throughout the appointment
-
Bring headphones to allow yourself to relax and listen to your music/podcasts/books for the duration of your appointment. As much as we LOVE talking to you all, this is a a health and safety reason for clients, due to not only the intricate work of lashing but the under eye pads can cause a bruise to the eyeball as a result of to much face movement
DON’T
-
Do not consume caffeine before your appointment
-
Please come with no sunscreen or moisturiser/oil
-
Please avoid large amounts of liquid drinks before your appointment
-
Avoid chewing gum during application
- Please wait 12 weeks after your lash lift before getting a set eyelash extensions
WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE OF HAVING EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
DO
-
Do wash your lashes 2-3 times a week with a lash cleanser and use oil-free makeup remover. For better retention, you want to keep your lashes clean and get rid of any makeup residue or bacteria buildup that could lead to infections.
-
Make sure to brush your lashes twice a day to keep them looking nice and neat. This also stimulates and encourages healthy lash growth.
-
Try your best to sleep on your back
- Book infills between 1-2 weeks or 2-3 weeks after your fullset to maintain health and fullness for your lashes
DON’T
-
Do not wet your lashes for 1-2 hours after application
-
Do not sweat for 1-2 hours after application
-
Avoid mascara and strip lashes as it will lessen the longevity of your lashes and close volume fans. If mascara is worn, please do not use water proof and avoid the root area when applying it.
-
Try to avoid the use of steam rooms and saunas
-
Do not perm, tint or curl the extensions
-
Do not use any oil-based products around eye area including make-up, eye creams, serums, lotions, etc.
-
Do not come in contact with extreme heat such as ovens, blow dryers and lighters. Extreme heat exposure can loosen the curl of the extensions and singe the tips.
-
Avoid using cotton tips or balls around the eyes, as the lint from them can get caught in the extensions
